AC Milan Submit Their Final Bid For Jashari

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, after a few weeks of waiting and testing the waters, the Serie A club decided to send an improved proposal to Club Brugge.

The Italian club are now willing to spend €33.5 million (£29m/$39m) plus €4.5m in bonuses to bring the young talent to San Siro.

However, this bid is still below the Belgian club’s €40m (£47m/$35m) asking price.

A move seems imminent, with the Swiss midfielder inclined to join the Rossoneri.

Milan sporting director, Igli Tare, had earlier stated they would not spend more on Jashari than their initial bid, but seeing how the player is prioritising Milan, the club went ahead with a better proposal.

However, Tare has made it very clear to the Brugge camp that it is their last offer and they will not spend a penny more on Jashari.

The Belgian club are yet to respond and will take a few days to contemplate and return with their decision.

The 22-year-old has reportedly agreed to move to Milan and will sign a five-year contract earning €2m annually.

Jashari was dropped from Brugge’s Super Cup clash against Union Saint-Gilloise. Captain Hans Vanaken supported the club’s decision, telling Milan to pay up if they want to sign Jashari.

The player has not been training with his team-mates and was not named in the matchday squad in their latest fixture against Genk.

Milan have had a good transfer window so far, adding the experience of Luka Modric, the intensity of Samuele Ricci and acquiring Pervis Estupinan as a replacement for Theo Hernandez at left-back.

However, the club still aim to bring in Jashari, a striker and a right-back to bolster their squad for the upcoming season.
