Lagos Airport Road Closure

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) announced that the Nigerian Air Force will hold its annual 10km walk and jog exercise, which will cause a partial closure of the access road between Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2) and Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA).

Safety And Traffic Management

The event starts at 6:00 a.m. on October 18, 2025, and security officers will line the access roads to guide motorists and ensure safety.

Travel Advice For Passengers

Meanwhile, FAAN assured travellers that flights will operate normally, and the roads will reopen fully as soon as the exercise ends.

The authority urged passengers and airport users to plan their journeys early, since minor traffic delays may occuraround the airport area.

Finally, FAAN apologised for any inconvenience and expressed gratitude for the public’s patience and cooperation.
