Grammy-winning South African DJ and record producer, Black Coffee, has revealed that he has no plans to remarry.
He cited self-awareness and freedom from societal pressure as his reasons.
Speaking on a recent episode of Podcast and Chill, the father of four explained that his earlier decision to get married was heavily influenced by his parents and societal expectations following his rise to fame.
“I won’t get married again. I’m clear about that because I am now in a better space in understanding who I am. I also understand the kind of pressure society puts you in without ever backing you up,” he said.
The acclaimed producer shared that after achieving success, his parents began urging him to settle down.
“With my career, it wasn’t so obvious — I wasn’t getting a degree to become a lawyer. It was unclear, but when it finally worked out, everyone was amazed. I bought my first house and car, and my parents immediately asked, ‘When are you getting a wife?’”
Black Coffee admitted that he allowed society to shape his life decisions until he discovered his true identity.
Also, he added that staying single aligns better with his personal growth and career.
The renowned DJ and his ex-wife, actress Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa, ended their marriage in 2019 after reports of infidelity.

Also, their union produced two children, while Black Coffee also has two other children from previous relationships.
