Governor Hope Uzodimma has been sworn in for a second term as the governor of Imo State, months after his re-election as the number one citizen of the state.

The governor took the oath of office at around 3:24 p.m. The event held at the Dan Ayiam Stadium in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

His inauguration came just minutes after Lady Chinyere Ekomaru took her oath of office as the deputy governor of Imo State.

The political influence of Hope Uzodimma cannot be ignored, especially his daring love for his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

President Bola Tinubu, ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo, Godswill Akpabio, and Tajudeen Abbas were all present.

Also, the Anambra Governor Charles Soludo was represented by his deputy Onyekachi Ibezim.

Other chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were among those in attendance.

Despite the sit-at-home event in the South-East, residents of Imo State shunned it.

They trooped out in a large number for the swearing-in event.

Also, they wore colourful attire, as they marched through the streets to the venue of the inauguration.
