He was later traced to a hotel in Ejigbo where he was arrested,” the source said.

The Invitation

A 49-second video was shared on Twitter on Friday by @DeeOneAyekooto.

Nwajagu said the need to invite IPOB to the state was following the persistent attacks on some Igbo people and the markets they dominate.

“IPOB, we will invite them. They have no job. All of the IPOB will protect all of our shops. And we have to pay them.

We must have our own security so that they will stop attacking us in the midnight, in the morning, in the afternoon.

“When they discover that we have our own security, before they will come, they will know that we have our own men there.

“To start with, the ever-ready @LagosPoliceNG will never fold its arms and allow such within the state,” he wrote.

However, critics have expressed worries over the inability of the police to foil several attacks on Igbos in Lagos.

They claim they expected the police to have made several arrests since attacks on Igbo residents of Lagos began.

There have been several attacks on Igbos in Lagos since the election of February 25.

During the governorship elections, several reports of attacks on Igbo residents were reported.

After the election, there have been reports of hoodlums setting market places ablaze. People are waiting to see how many persons would be arrested in the state in relation to the attacks and torching of markets.
