“Peter Obi is the new brand.
“If Peter Obi were to remain in PDP, he will lose with us. If he comes back to PDP, he will never be popular.
“Unfortunately, PDP never envisaged this Peter Obi hurricane.
“How do you explain PDP having 75,000 votes in Lagos and Obi having almost 600,000?”
These were the words of the former governor of Ekiti State, Peter Ayodele Fayose, a member of the People Democratic Party (PDP). Although he is declaring his decision to recline and become a statesman.
He was in a discussion with presenters of a television program on TVC.
Ayodele went further to say that “Peter Obi has become an issue in Nigeria now.
“He is an institution now.”
“You know Peter Obi is a very smart guy. A man of little words; he is saying the truth.”
“He is modest.
“If you see any rally, it is sponsored by PDP.
“PDP cannot make it again, nobody is talking about us again.”
“Peter deserves what is happening now”.
Fayose is an experienced politician who governed Ekiti state for 7 years.

This interview came after the February 25 presidential elections won by Bola Tinubu.
Ever since the electoral body declared Tinubu the winner, oppositions, including Peter Obi has rejected the result.
Obi addressed Nigerians through the press on March 2, urging them to go out and vote in the gubernatorial elections on March 11, 2023.
He advised his supporters not to despair, as he would go to Court and get his Mandate back.
