Dame Patience Jonathan, the former first lady, promised to offer her support to Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who is the wife of the President, in her pursuit to make Nigeria better.
She asked other women to do same.
Mrs. Jonathan shared this promise on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, when she visited the first lady at the presidential villa in Abuja.
She expressed her gratitude to the first lady for helping Nigerian women so much.
Also, she expressed the belief that since she used to be a president’s wife, it was important for her to also support and cheer on Mrs. Tinubu in things that would make the nation move forward.
Mrs Jonathan praised groups of women who support President Bola Tinubu and his wife.
Furthermore, she requested that they should maintain their support for the government so that the good work could continue.
“You are one of the women that I look forward to seeing, because you can make Nigerian women proud.
“I am here to encourage and support you because we are one country, and our country must move forward.
“Twenty-four hours, I am with you, call me anytime, any day, I will work with you for the country to move forward and to be better, because it is our country, we have no other place to go.”
