The race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong. Murtala had an early start winning 4 local government areas, but Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress APC has taken over.
You can say things are looking bright for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Usman Ododo.
From the results announced thus far at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collation center., what has been witnessed, is that the Guber candidate of the APC is leading.
Ododo has floored Dino Melaye of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
According to the INEC, Ododo, has pocketed 11 out of 18 local government areas results announced, so far.
However, there are still 3 more local government areas to be presented before Ododo can be sure if he has won the Kogi Guber seat.
The LGAs where election results had been collated and declared included Adavi, Ajaokuta, Ankpa, Bassa, Dekina, and Idah.

Others are Ijumu, Kabba-Bunu, Kogi, Mopamuro, Ofu, Okehi, Okene, Olamaboro, Omala, Yagba East and Yagba West.
Results from only one ward in Ogori Magongo LGA was received and announced.
Ododo is leading with 417,166 votes, Murtala Ajaka, is trailing far behind with 208,503 votes, while Dino Melaye, is distantly behind with 41,925 votes.
