Election

In the heat of the governorship election held on March 18, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu ordered a slash in the fare for government buses by 50%.

A move he said was to cushion the hardship Nigerians are facing as a result of the fuel scarcity and cash crunch.

Fresh Order

However, residents of the state would go back to 100% fare payment for government owned buses popularly known as BRT starting from April 1, 2023.
