President Muhammadu Buhari and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele on Wednesday came under social media attack after the unveiling of the newly redesigned Naira notes.

Recall that President Buhari unveiled N200, N500, and N1000 new naira notes today ahead of the Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The CBN had announced earlier that there is no going back on the January 31st 2023, deadline to render the old naira notes unacceptable.
Godwin Emefiele urged Nigerians against holding on to the old naira notes.
Nigerians, however, have taken to social media to react to the changes in the country’s currency.
