The violators of the aviation safety fueling regulations will soon face the full wrath of the law, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), promised.
This decision is a quick reaction to the discovery of contaminated fuel in Max Air’s main tank in July.

You see, the aviation industry is one that people should not think of cutting corners for more profit.
But in Nigeria, people try all sort of things without consideration that the lives of others may be in danger.
As far as it brings them extra money, they will go with it. This is a bad mentality.

The aviation sector in Nigeria has safety fueling regulations that players in the industry must adhere to.
Sadly, some evil-minded people have begun devising measures that short-change a good process.
NCAA Identified And Punished Fueling Regulations Culprits
However, in a bid to restore order and sanity, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), has identified and punished these criminals.
After the NCAA identified the violators of its fueling regulations, it suspended them.
This was done in response to a public outcry that trailed the contaminated fuel found in Max Air’s main tank in July 2023.
NCAA said the identification would not have been possible without it’s collaboration with the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
The Director, Operations, Licensing & Training Standards, NCAA, Ibrahim Dambazau, made the revelation.
Dambazau, represented NCAA Director-General, Musa Nuhu, on Thursday, at the inauguration of a joint audit committee on aviation fuel activities in Nigeria.
Safety Committee Members
The committee members are; NMDPRA, NCAA, and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
Others are; the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), the Association of Aviation Marketers and the Department of State Security (DSS).

The committee will investigate supply and use of aviation fuel, the cause of contamination and recommend solutions to any other fuel contamination occurrences in Nigeria.
NCAA said airline operators and other stakeholders have been ordered to adhere to the fuel requirements of the aviation industry regulator.
While commenting about the Max Air contaminated fuel, the NCAA said the public’s complaints were understandable.
