The lingering scarcity of the Naira notes has continued to push many Nigerians into numerous forms of suffering and hardship.
The Naira scarcity is not just affecting the ordinary Nigerian or the lower class citizens.
Indeed, many political elites, celebrities, top class business owners have directly or indirectly suffered the effect.

Nigerians have continued to react in different ways to the sufferings they are undergoing in recent times. Protest, destruction of banks’ facilities and outrage on social media has become the order of the day.
Imagine working hard and tirelessly to earn money and later having to pay a huge sum to buy your own money out of your bank account. That is what many Nigerians are facing today.
Popular singer, Paul Okoye of Psquare, has taken to his social media handle to recount his ordeal during his visit to an embassy and how the scarcity of the Naira affected him.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, Paul Okoye disclosed that he bought forty thousand Naira for seventy thousand Naira at the embassy because he needed cash.

According to him, Nigeria is ‘breaking new records’.
He wrote: “Omo!! I buy money today!! Just because I have to pay for a certain fee in an embassy, and it has to be paid in cash. Joke apart I bought 40k with 70k Aahhh Naija breaking new records.”
