The social media space has been buzzing with reactions following Achraf Hakimi’s court story with his wife.
In fact, Hakimi’s story has set the internet ablaze and has become a topic for discussion among many.
The story stirs a huge controversy among Nigerians. A large section of people, particularly the male, see Hakimi’s move as a very wise one, they say the star player ‘saw the future’.
On the other hand, some persons, especially the female, see the move as a deceitful one, many say he never loved his wife.
What happened?
The PSG players’ wife filed for a divorce and thereby requested over 50% of the player’s wealth.
She was however informed by the court that her “Millionaire’ husband owns nothing as all his property is registered under his mother’s name.
Hakimi receives €1 Million from PSG monthly but 80% of this is deposited in his mother Mrs. Fatima’s account.
He has no property, cars, houses, Jewellery or even clothes in his name.
@Goal Africa had first posted his picture on their Facebook account, and his now divorced wife, with a caption of salute.
When Abouk, 36, took her 24-year-old husband to court, she expected to get an equal share of his €70 million upon separation, but she was informed that documents showed his assets all belong to his mum.
Her “Millionaire’ husband owns nothing legally as all his property is registered under his mother’s names.
