A Celestial Church in Ogun State has received the greatest shock of its life after gunmen suspected to be kidnappers invaded the church and abducted two members identified as Oladapo Seyifunmi and Oluboboye Abiola.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, made this known in a statement on Friday, March 29, 2024, via X platform.

Odutola said the incident occurred on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the church located near Oriyarin village, Mowe, in the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of the state.

According to the Police boss, the perpetrators fled through a thick forest behind the church.

The Attack

The statement reads, “Suspected kidnapping: Report at my disposal reveals that on 28/3/2024, unidentified gunmen invaded a Celestial Church around Oriyarin village Mowe.

They abducted one Oladapo Seyifunmi andu Oluboboye Abiola and escaped through the thick forest behind the church.
