There are reports of heightened tension in Imo State as some political thugs led by suspected armed security men on Saturday, disrupted the supplementary election.
The thugs snatched the ballot box at Umuarusi Amandugba hall in the Isu local government area of the state.
According to report, about five thugs invaded the polling units around 09:19 am despite the heavy presence of security men.
One of the voters identified as Chibuike, spoke with the journalists.
He says, the residents are scared for their safety.
Chibuike hints that security armored vehicles were seen patrolling the area before the snatching of the box.
“We are afraid. You saw how they snatched the ballot box with security people and you it was planned.
We are afraid and we are not safe.
How can an election be conducted with an armoured vehicle? This is wrong.”

Meanwhile, as the people of Imo State fear for their safety in the polling units, Two different incidences of stabbing has been recorded in Adamawa.
The incidents both happened in Yola North local government area but at two different polling units.

It involved a man and a woman.
The lady was stabbed at PU006, Kofar Jauro Audu, Jambutu, Yola North LGA in Adamawa while her phone was seized by her attackers.
As at the time of filing this report, it is unclear what caused the incident.
