How Terrorists Took 25 Worshippers In Kaduna Attack

While worshippers in Kaduna were in church praising God, they were not aware gunmen suspected to be bandits had planned to invade the Bege Baptist Church in Madala.

The church is located along Buruku Baringi Road in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

After several minutes of the attack, the gunmen abducted no fewer than 40 worshippers.

However, fifteen of the kidnapped persons reportedly escaped, while twenty-five of the worshippers are still in captivity.

CAN Speaks

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) chairman in the state, Rev. John Joseph Hayab, confirmed the abduction of the congregants.

He spoke with journalists on Monday.

According to Hayab, trouble began  said the worshippers were in the Sunday when around 9:30am worshippers started hearing sporadic gunshots very close to the Church.

“The gunmen attacked the Church and went away with 40 worshippers.

“But thank God when they were going, somehow 15 of the kidnapped persons escaped.

“Twenty-five of the worshippers are still in captivity without any word from their abductors.”

Prayers For The Abducted

Hayab said efforts were on to get in contact with the abductors concerning the remaining people.

A Horrifying Film

He prayed that the abductors would be merciful and release the remaining abductees to their families.

Also, some of the church members said the attack was more like a horrifying film.

The bandits came in their numbers and operated unhindered because they were heavily armed.
