He was in the House chamber with Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat and other top government officials.

Obasa, the House’s most senior member, nomination was made by Hon. Temitope Adewale and seconded by Sylvester Ogunkelu.

Hon. Adedamola Kasunmu, the Deputy Majority Leader in the ninth Assembly, was chosen as the new Majority Leader, while Noheem Adams was elected as the Deputy Majority Leader.

Also, Mojeed Fatai of Ibeju Lekki 1 was appointed Chief Whip, while Hon. David Setonji was appointed Deputy Chief Whip.
