Obasa was re-elected overwhelmingly after Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s proclamation of the 10th Assembly of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Mudashiru Obasa is the lawmaker representing the Agege 1 constituency of Lagos State.
He has been re-elected as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly for the third time in a row.
Mojisola Lasbat Meranda was also elected as Deputy Speaker by the parliamentarians.

He was in the House chamber with Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat and other top government officials.
Obasa, the House’s most senior member, nomination was made by Hon. Temitope Adewale and seconded by Sylvester Ogunkelu.
Hon. Adedamola Kasunmu, the Deputy Majority Leader in the ninth Assembly, was chosen as the new Majority Leader, while Noheem Adams was elected as the Deputy Majority Leader.
Also, Mojeed Fatai of Ibeju Lekki 1 was appointed Chief Whip, while Hon. David Setonji was appointed Deputy Chief Whip.
