There are strong signs that Taraba Governor, Agbu Kefas, would soon reveal his cabinet members.

This was seen as a result of the high degree of consultations currently taking place in the state, particularly between important stakeholders and chieftains of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Abubakar Bawa, chairman of the Taraba PDP, also stated that the governor had informed the party of his plans.

Bawa confirmed that the governor entrusted the party with reaching out to stakeholders at both the local government and ward levels in order to find suitable cabinet members.

According to him, the governor’s directions prompted the party’s leadership to enlist the help of traditional rulers throughout the state for the task.

Aside from engaging monarchs for the task of sourcing cabinet members, religious organisations have also been contacted.

Bawa, who remarked that the governor was in desperate need of quality representation, encouraged the institutions involved to put aside their religious and ethnic divisions.

He urged them to come up with the best hands to help the governor galvanise the state to greater heights.

Other party leaders and religious leaders confirmed their preparedness to present nominees who have the best interests of the state at heart.
