A White House source says, President Joe Biden “strongly” disagrees with the US Supreme Court’s decision to stop his plan to forgive billions of dollars in federal student debt.

“While we strongly disagree with the court, we prepared for this scenario,” said the official, who requested anonymity.

“The president will make it clear that he’s not done fighting yet, and he’ll announce new actions to protect student loan borrowers,” the official added.

Earlier, the court struck Biden a severe political loss when it overturned his trailblasing proposal to forgive millions of Americans’ school debt.

It claimed Biden overstepped his authority by eliminating more than $400 billion in debt in an effort to lessen a financial burden that many Americans face decades after finishing their studies.

Looking ahead to the 2024 presidential election, in which Biden is running for a second term, the White House has placed the blame completely on Republicans.

“We’ll also make it clear to borrowers and their families that Republicans are to blame for denying them the relief that President Biden has been fighting for,” a White House official said.

Will this make or mar Biden’s desire to rule the US for another term in office, the elections will tell.
