Bobby Williams Adeoye, son of late gospel singer Omije Ojumi, has opened up on why his mother’s death did not come as a total shock to him.
He reveals that she often spoke about death while she was alive.

Adeoye shared the emotional revelation while paying tribute to his mother during her service of songs.
He described her as a loving, caring and exceptionally strong woman who dedicated her life to his success.
According to him, Omije Ojumi was deeply invested in his upbringing and his education
Also, he noted that her unwavering support and sacrifices played a major role in shaping his life.
Recalling fond memories, Adeoye described his mother as cheerful and humorous.
Also, he added that her sense of humour is one of the things he misses most since her passing.
“My mother was a very loving, beautiful, and caring person to me. She was very strong and would do anything to see me come first in anything, even in class. Anytime I came back from school, she always wanted to know what happened. She was the best mother in the world to me,” he said.
Speaking further, Adeoye explained why the news of her death did not entirely surprise him.
“When I heard she was dead, I was not that surprised because she had always been saying it. She cracked jokes to make everyone lively, and that’s one of the main reasons I miss her so much. I know you’re gone now, but you will always be alive in my heart and in my dreams. I love you, Mommy. May your soul rest in peace.”
Omije Ojumi, whose real name is Bunmi Akinaanu Adeoye, passed away on January 12, 2026.
