Afrobeats superstar Davido has publicly expressed gratitude to his father, Dr Adedeji Adeleke.
The gratitude is for defending him amid the renewed paternity dispute involving Ayo Labinjoh.
The controversy resurfaced last week after Ayo Labinjoh’s teenage daughter, Aanu Adeleke, wrote an open letter addressed to Davido.
He calls on the singer to undergo a paternity test.
Responding to the claims, Davido denied ever meeting the young girl and stated in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) that five DNA tests conducted over the years had already confirmed that Aanu is not his daughter.
However, Ayo Labinjoh dismissed the test results.
She alleged that they were fake and insisting that Davido is her child’s father.
Amid the growing public debate, Dr Adeleke addressed the issue during a press conference on Wednesday.
He reveals that multiple DNA tests were conducted not only on Davido but also on his cousin, singer B-Red, all of which reportedly returned negative results.
Reacting to his father’s public intervention, Davido took to his Instagram page on Thursday to show appreciation.

Sharing a photo of himself with Dr Adeleke, the singer wrote:
“Thank you my loving Father.”
The post has since drawn widespread reactions from fans and supporters, many praising the Adeleke family for standing united amid the ongoing controversy.
