Award-winning Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has opened up about her dating experiences, revealing that she has only had one truly fulfilling relationship in her life.
Speaking emotionally during an interview with content creator Korty EO, the 45-year-old music star disclosed that the only relationship she looks back on fondly ended tragically, as her partner passed away.
Tiwa Savage admitted that, aside from her late lover, her other romantic relationships were largely disappointing, noting that she struggled to find anything positive to hold on to.
“There is hardly any relationship I would look back at and see anything positive. They are all d*cks! Actually, there is one, but he passed away. May his soul rest in peace. He was incredible,” she said.
Reflecting on her experiences, the singer explained that they have shaped how she raises her son, Jamil.
According to her, she constantly advises him to treat women with respect, drawing from the pain she endured in unhealthy relationships.
Tiwa Savage was previously married to music executive Tunji Balogun, popularly known as Tee Billz.
The couple tied the knot in 2013 but divorced in 2018. They share one son together.
