Legendary Fuji musician, Saheed Osupa, has publicly reacted to a controversial prophecy predicting his death by a Nigerian cleric.
A Muslim cleric popularly known as Alpha Olopa Meta had earlier claimed that Osupa would die on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

According to the cleric, he had allegedly pleaded with God on the singer’s behalf and advised Osupa to buy a large ram for prayers to avert the prophecy.
Responding to the claim during a live performance on Sunday, January 11, 2026, Osupa dismissed the prophecy as false and strongly condemned those wishing him harm.
Addressing the audience, the Fuji star warned against making death wishes against him, stating that such intentions would backfire.
“Fake Alpha and prophet, please don’t wish me dead. Anyone who wishes me dead will die in my place,” he said.
Saheed Osupa further cautioned both known and unknown enemies, including those within his personal and professional circles, to desist from making negative declarations about his life.
