Controversial Nigerian street-pop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has once again launched a public attack on his father.

He declares that his life is better without him.

My Life Is Better Without My Father – Portable

In a lengthy and emotionally charged Instagram Live session, the Zazu crooner accused his father of neglect, manipulation and financial exploitation.

He claims that he only reappeared in his life after his rise to fame.

Portable alleged that his father routinely avoids him whenever he faces serious challenges.

This includes police issues and family disputes, but maintains contact with his baby mamas for personal financial gain.

“Even my dad is only concerned about collecting money from me. There’s no time I’ve been in trouble that he will come to the police station for me as his son, but he can collect the phone numbers of my baby mamas and collect money from them,” he said.

The singer insisted that his father should only have a relationship with his wife, Bewaji.

He accused him of interfering excessively in his personal life and causing chaos within his household.

My life is good without you. When you are not with me, my life goes on. You were not there when I needed you. You didn’t train me, you didn’t send me to school,” Portable lamented.

He further accused his father of inflating building costs and cheating him financially while handling construction projects on his behalf, claiming that prices for materials and roofing were deliberately exaggerated.

Portable also revisited painful memories surrounding his late mother, alleging that his father showed little concern after her death and had a history of exploiting both her and himself financially.

His Mother’s Death

When my mother died, my father said he was not concerned. He came back into my life only when I became famous,” he alleged.

The singer warned his father against what he described as spiritual intimidation, vowing that no one would inherit his properties or harm him.
