Award-winning Afrobeats star Asake has sparked widespread online reactions after paying a courtesy visit to Ghana’s President, John Mahama, following his headline performance in Accra.
The meeting came shortly after Asake’s appearance at the AfroFuture Ghana Festival, held at the El-Wak Stadium as part of the popular “December in GH” celebrations

The festival attract thousands of music lovers from across Africa and the diaspora.
A video from the visit shows the singer exchanging warm pleasantries with President Mahama and other notable personalities.
These includes Ghanaian actor and politician John Dumelo and businessman Ibrahima Mahama.
During the light-hearted interaction, President Mahama jokingly referenced a viral moment from Asake’s concert where a fan reportedly fired a gun into the air.
He quipped , “So he is the one the guy fired the gun for?”
This is a remark that drew laughter and further buzz online.
