Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal has finally spoken out about her leaked intimate video.
She reveals that her former partner blamed her for the incident and attempted to shift responsibility onto her.
In an emotional video message, the actress disclosed that her ex accused her of causing the leak because she refused to post him on her social media platforms.
According to Moyo Lawal, he questioned whether she had ever publicly acknowledged any partner online and went further to tell her that if he could not have her, no one else would.
Reflecting on the experience, Lawal said she had previously ignored several red flags due to her easygoing, fun-loving personality.
However, the incident forced her to re-evaluate her life and personal boundaries.
The actress revealed that she is deliberately choosing a new path centred on virtue, self-awareness, and personal growth.
She describes the decision as a major turning point and the beginning of a fresh chapter.
She also addressed the stigma surrounding leaked intimate content, stressing that the shame does not belong to victims.
Moyo Lawal expressed concern for young women who have reached out to her, admitting that some had been threatened and driven to thoughts of self-harm after similar experiences.
“I refuse to let the narrative that I shared this part of my life define me forever,” she said
Lawal further stated that entertainers are often judged harshly despite personal struggles.
Also, she described the incident as the worst thing that could happen to her and insisted she would no longer allow it to control her story.
