Nigerian skitmaker Shank Comics has responded after an old tweet in which he praised Sean “Diddy” Combs’ “mindset” resurfaced and triggered widespread backlash online.
In the viral post, Shank had referenced Diddy’s “perspective to the grind” and adaptability, noting that the music executive “got lost in the pursuit of power.”
However, following renewed criticism, the comedian issued a full clarification, distancing himself completely from the embattled American star.
Shank described the earlier tweet as a “misguided attempt” to reference a movie villain, admitting that it was poorly framed and irresponsible.
He emphasised that he does not admire, support, or defend Diddy, especially in light of the serious allegations surrounding him.
The content creator condemned the accusations against Diddy, stressing that such behaviour is horrific and that anyone found guilty deserves the full weight of the consequences.
