How Ijebu Finally Got His U.S. Visa After Four RejectionsPopular Nigerian actor and comedian Ijebu recently shared a funny and inspiring story.

He finally got his U.S. visa after being denied four times.

The actor is known for his comic roles in Yoruba movies.

He said his first rejections happened because he could not hear or understand the interviewers well at the American embassy.

He went to the embassy four times and got denied each time.

On his fifth visit, things finally changed.

However, his persistence paid off on his fifth attempt. This time, he met a kind interviewer who asked him to tell more about himself.

“I went to The American embassy four times and I was denied visa because I didn’t hear what they were saying.

I went there the fifth time and the white man said, ‘how can we help you, tell me more about yourself?’” Ijebu said.

“I told him I am an actor and I am known worldwide. I have featured in many movies, Google me.”

The interviewer decided to check, and true to Ijebu’s words, he found several records of the actor’s works online.

Ijebu added that the white man then went out to bring in a Yoruba man who recognised him immediately.

The man confirmed that Ijebu was indeed one of the best comedians in Africa, and that sealed the deal his visa was approved on the spot.
