Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has sparked intense debate online.
This was after he asserted that America has become a better place for black people than Africa, despite the existence of racism.

Speaking during a recent BET interview, the Blood on the Dance Floor crooner stated that the injustice black people face from fellow blacks in Africa is far worse than what they experience in the United States.
“We cannot deny the fact that America is now a better place for black people. The things that black people have suffered in America are not compared to the things that black people have suffered in the hands of black people in Africa,” he said.
His remarks have drawn mixed reactions on social media, with some critics accusing him of downplaying the impact of racism in the U.S.
Also, others agreed that black-on-black oppression in Africa remains a major issue.

Many commentators, however, stressed that suffering should not be compared, as both societies present different forms of systemic and social injustice.
