British boxer Ryan Taylor has stirred controversy after alleging that his ex-fiancée, Nigerian DJ and billionaire heiress Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, expressed dislike for Nigerians during their short-lived relationship.
In a recent podcast interview, Taylor claimed that Dj Cuppy discouraged him from hiring Nigerian staff while they were engaged in 2022.
According to him, the DJ often made comments suggesting she didn’t trust Nigerians, a sentiment that reportedly surprised him given her strong Nigerian background.
The pair met at a charity event in London in November 2022 and got engaged shortly after.
However, their engagement lasted only 25 days before the relationship came to an abrupt end.
DJ Cuppy later described the breakup as part of her spiritual journey, especially following her baptism in 2023, which she said helped her refocus on her faith and purpose.
Taylor, reflecting on the relationship, said he learned valuable life lessons from the experience and emphasised that he never signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which allowed him to speak freely about their time together.
As of now, DJ Cuppy has not issued any public response to Taylor’s claims.
