Nigerian singer Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has stirred concern among fans after disclosing that he is once again battling depression.
In a Snapchat rant, the Soso crooner attributed his current struggles to challenges in the music business and contracts he previously signed.
He did not hold back, calling out his manager and his younger self for decisions that led to his situation.
“Fk contracts. Fk labels. Fk the music business. Fk my younger self. F**k my manager. God please, I’m losing my mind again,” Omah Lay wrote.
The outburst comes just weeks after the singer parted ways with his longtime manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi.
While Awoniyi claimed the split was amicable, Omah Lay’s label mate, Kaestyle, alleged that the manager was sacked.
Omah Lay has previously been open about his struggles. His debut album Boy Alone, released on July 15, 2022, chronicled his battles with depression.
Just days later, on July 18, 2022, he revealed via X (formerly Twitter) that his depression worsened after an affair with his therapist.
Fans have since taken to social media, expressing deep concern and urging the artist to seek support.
