Instead, it said operations continue at full scale, supplying over 50 million litres daily nationwide.

Meanwhile, the 650,000-barrel-per-day Lagos facility continues production despite routine maintenance on some units.

Moreover, the refinery’s integrated design allows it to maintain steady output during scheduled maintenance work.

Production And Supply Remain Strong

Typically, daily petrol production ranges between 40 million and 50 million litres, depending on market demand.

For example, on January 4, the refinery produced 50 million litres and evacuated 48 million litres.

At the same time, marketers lifted similar volumes last weekend, showing steady market demand.

Currently, stock levels cover more than 20 days of national petrol consumption.

In addition, the refinery confirmed an ex-gantry price of ₦699 per litre for all marketers.

Furthermore, key units actively produce petrol, diesel and Jet A-1 fuel.

Since December 16, 2025, daily PMS loadings have ranged between 31 million and 48 million litres.

Notably, regulators can verify these figures through official depot loading records.

Domestic Refining Stabilises Prices

Without domestic refining, petrol prices could rise to ₦1,400 per litre.

Therefore, local production continues to stabilise prices in the post-subsidy market.

Previously, in December, Dangote Refinery pledged to supply 1.5 billion litres of petrol monthly.

From February 2026, the refinery plans to raise supply to 1.7 billion litres monthly.

As a result, analysts link falling petrol prices to increased domestic refining capacity.

Ultimately, Dangote Refinery now anchors stability in Nigeria’s fuel market.
