Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has cleared the air regarding actor Ibrahim Chatta’s recent bereavement.
This follows speculations that he had lost his biological child.
The confusion began after Chatta’s emotional Instagram post, which many fans, friends, and colleagues interpreted as the loss of his son.
The message triggered a wave of condolences across social media.
Also, sympathisers expressing deep sorrow for the actor’s family.
However, Aiyeola took to her own Instagram page to clarify the situation.
He explained that the deceased was actually Chatta’s godson, a child he cherished and treated like his own.
“Ibrahim Chatta didn’t lose his biological son but a godson, who is also like a son to him. May his pure soul continue to rest peacefully. It’s been an extremely emotional ride so far. God have mercy,” she wrote.
In response, Ibrahim Chattalater updated his tribute post, acknowledging the clarification while still mourning the young boy. He wrote:
“Inna liLlahi wa inna ileyhi rajiun. Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on, dear GodSon. Champ.”
