This is to improve agricultural production. It says agriculture and digital economy are the major drivers of the economy, contributing massively to the GDP.

Nigeria’s vice president, Kashim Shettima, while on a condolence visit to the family of Islamic cleric, Sheikh Abubakar Giro, who died recently in Kebbi State, made the disclosure.

Wheat Production Programme

The Director of information at the vice president’s office, Olusola Abiola, hinted that the wheat production programme would be launched soon.

According to him, the wheat production programme will involve the cultivation of 50,000 hectares of land in Jigawa State.

He observed that the Federal Government also needed 10,000 hectares of land in Kebbi State for the production of wheat.

Shettima assured the people of the state that President Bola Tinubu’s government would fulfill all promises made to Nigerians particularly in the area of agriculture to ensure food security.
