The number of persons adding their voice to the treason allegation is increasing and no one knows where this will lead.
A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, is one of the latest to join the call for the arrest of Peter Obi.
Reno Omokri & Peter ObiMr Omokri says nothing will happen if the government arrests Peter Obi, and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed.
Some Nigerians in their agitation for their stolen mandate declared Obi untouchable by the government.
According to them, a great protest may arise if any move is made to arrest him.
Even in the midst of the recent allegations against the former Anambra governor, some persons still stand their ground.
Nothing Will Happen
Omokri accused the two politicians of making treasonous comments.
He wants the government to arrest them whenever they make such comments again.
Omokri boasted that nothing will happen if both men were arrested.
He went on to cite the example of how the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu was arrested.
“The next time either Peter Obi or Datti Baba Ahmed open their mouths to make treasonous comments, the Federal Government should arrest them.
“Nothing will happen.
“What happened when FG arrested Nnamdi Kanu? Did heaven fall?
“Arrest the wimpy simps if they blab anyhow!”
Treason
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, had a recent interaction with some international media organisations in Washington, USA.
He accused and warned Obi against inciting Nigerians to violence over the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.

According to Mr. Mohammed, it is wrong for Obi to seek redress in court over the outcome of the presidential election and on the other hand incite people to violence.
However, in response, Obi denied allegations of inciting people against the Nigerian state or encouraging anyone to undermine Nigeria as accused by the Minister.

The former Anambra State Governor said the government had launched a campaign of calumny against him to try and demarket him.
