Mr Sylva served a single four-year term as the Bayelsa governor from 2008 to 2012.

Nigerians are questioning the provision of the constitution for him to run for governor after being removed by the Supreme Court in 2012.

According to the constitution, he could still run for a second term after the Supreme Court removed him from office following his re-election in 2012.
