The Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Monday gave his opinion on the Supreme Court ruling on the 2023 presidential elections petition.
He addressed a press conference and reeled out his thoughts about the decision of the apex court. Â
During the conference, he sought permission to “make some few remarks on the ruling of the supreme court, the highest court in Nigeria”.
“About a fortnight ago, I was travelling when I received a notice of the judgement on the challenge of the 2023 presidential elections.
“As someone who has previously benefitted from the ruling of the court, after a period of deep reflection decided to personally give an opinion.”
In his speech, Peter Obi said the judgment passed by the supreme court dashed the hopes of a majority of Nigerians by sacrificing justice for political expediency.

He noted that the party was now ready to take the message of a new Nigeria to the grassroots.
