Senator Bamidele Opeyemi of Ekiti Central Senatorial District has been elected Majority Leader of the 10th Senate.

Ali Ndume, Senator representing Borno South Senatorial District, was also named Chief Whip.

Both came from a closed-door meeting presided over by Senate President Godswill Akpabo on Tuesday.

Their ascension was recommended by the ruling All Progressives Congress.
