An Independent whistleblower and investigator, Adam Tolley, recently filed a report alleging bullying against the PM.

The report reveals how members of staff allegedly expressed disapproval of Raab’s work ethic.

Also, the report focuses on his work as the UK Foreign and Justice secretary, adding that staff complained bitterly about his bullying behaviour at work.

Therefore, an inquiry was opened against him by relevant authorities.

Mr Raab himself had called for the inquiry and promised to resign if the allegations were proven true.

The Outcome

On Friday, Mr Raab submitted his resignation letter despite the inquiry not finding anything substantial against him.

In his letter, Mr Raab stated that he had to resign based on the outcome of the inquiry on his tenure in those offices.

“I called for the inquiry and undertook to resign, if it made any finding of bullying whatsoever. I believe it is important to keep my word,” Raab says.

“Whilst I feel duty-bound to accept the outcome of the inquiry, it dismissed all but two of the claims levelled against me,” he wrote.

According to him, he believes that the report’s “two adverse findings are flawed and set a dangerous precedent for the conduct of good government”.

Furthermore, he notes that the bar for bullying was set so low.

This, he believes will “encourage spurious complaints against ministers and have a chilling effect on those driving change”.

Raab not only resigned as Prime Minister but also from his post as justice secretary.
