See Why MTN’s Shortcodes Changed To NCC Codes

We know you will not be finding it easy to remember these new codes that you have now been given by network providers.

Why did they even change? many people have thought to themselves. 

First, the companies have agreed that it will help them provide quality voice and data service to all subscribers.

The migration to the National Communications Commission (NCC) unified USSD codes that harmonised shortcodes (HSC).

The agency in charge of communications in Nigeria says it will also help them regulate mobile networks effectively.

These codes allow subscribers from all mobile networks to have access to their airtime balance, subscribe for data, recharge their lines among other things.

It is an effort to unify rates and seamless access to information from mobile network providers without having to memorise the codes of all the different networks operative in Nigeria

Without these codes in Nigeria today, a subscriber will not be able to reach the customer care and just in case you do not know the codes yet, we are happy to share them with you.
