Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane has responded to links with Arsenal and Manchester United, admitting he still has a ‘fondness’ for the Premier League.
Sane moved to England from Germany in 2016 to join Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, where he won every major domestic title, including three Premier League trophies.
Ahead of the 2020-21 season, the winger returned to his homeland as Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich secured his signature.
The German international’s current contract with the Bavarian club expires at the end of the 2024-25 campaign and he is yet to put pen to paper on a fresh deal.
Amid speculation over his future at Allianz Arena, Sane has been strongly linked with a move to Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United, along with Newcastle.
The 28-year-old, however, has refuted rumours of him heading back to English football, although he remains a fan of the Premier League.
Speaking to SportBild, Sane said: “I have a fondness for the league, I still watch certain games on TV.
“But the appeal for me lies in the club where I can show my best performance, develop and win titles.
“I have that at FC Bayern.
“This is where I have my biggest challenge and goals.”

After featuring for the German national team in their final Nations League group stage match against Hungary on Tuesday, Sane will be back in action in club football on Friday night as Bayern take on Augsburg in a league clash.
