However, the Bundesliga outfit decided to fast track the move to bring in Bryan Zaragoza from Granada.

Meaning he joined them on loan before linking up with them permanently in the summer – as was previously agreed.

Mudryk has struggled since signing for Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk for £89 million ($112m) in January 2023.

The Ukrainian international has scored just four goals and bagged a paltry four assists in 41 appearances for the west London outfit.

Furthermore, he is sometimes finding starts hard to come by.

Mudryk joined Chelsea on an eight-and-a-half year contract until 2031 just over a year ago.

The Blues outbid London rivals Arsenal to secure his signature, but the big-money move has not gone to plan so far.
