Rivers Political Crisis: President Tinubu Intervenes, Meets Fubara, Wike

The political crisis that recently broke out in Rivers State is one that needs urgent and immediate attention.

Now, President Bola Tinubu is wading into the storm to calm it. 

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, informed reporters of the President’s attempts on Tuesday.

The Meeting

It was after the maiden Police Council meeting under the Tinubu administration on Tuesday that Mohammed spoke.

He said Tinubu was in a meeting with the parties involved.

Also, he hinted that the Bauchi governor is currently engaged in discussions with Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to restore peace in the state.
