The home of the district head of Bokkos town in Local Government Area of Plateau State, Michal Monday Adanchi, has been set on fire by protesting women on Friday.

Well, this protest is just one of the many actions trailing the bloody massacre that occurred in the state.

It was on Christmas Eve, as the villagers prepared for a great celebration.
On that day, assailants attacked 23 villages and over 150 people were killed and hundreds of houses destroyed.
The Arrest
While the pain is still fresh, the anger is boiling. Women took laws into their hands.
A Local source revealed that the torching of the building occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Friday.

The source added that the traditional ruler’s home and administrative office were set on fire by the ladies.
It was after some community members were arrested for their suspected roles in the massacre that a fresh level of trouble showed up.
“The incident began at the police station where they expressed their anger over the arrest of so me members of the community.
“After leaving the police station, they proceeded to the house of the traditional ruler, protesting that he was a sellout.
“A few minutes after reaching the house, they set it ablaze,” the source said.
Army Intervention
According to reports, soldiers arrived the area and dispersed the protesting women.
The spokesman for the state police command, Alabo Alfred, said he would give further details on the matter.
