The LP’s presidential candidate during his visit to the farm a few days ago, had donated N10m to support their innovative agricultural productivity.

Obi, who was impressed by the progress recorded on the farm after starting just two years ago, encouraged them with little support.

“I have consistently maintained that agriculture remains critical to our economic development. It is the biggest asset our nation has, including the vast uncultivated lands,” Obi said.

“If we properly harness our huge human and natural resources, in terms of agriculture, it will solve many challenges facing the nation.”

“Nigeria will be free from national insecurity, food insecurity, inflation, unemployment and over-dependence on imports.

Boosting agricultural production would also help us to generate the much-needed additional foreign exchange.

Obi thanked the Management of Mary Agro Farms for doing a good job of helping to move Nigeria from consumption to production.”
