In an interesting twist of events, the Lagos State Police has announced that Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley is currently cooling off in their custody.
Naira Marley was taken into custody over the death of one of his former signees, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
The death of Mohbad which occurred in a very mysterious circumstance a few weeks ago had sparked outrage from Nigerians.
In fact, many had called for the arrest of the Marlian boss.
Return To Nigeria
The Lagos Police PRO, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed on Tuesday that Naira Marley, had just returned to Nigeria.
He was taken into custody immediately.

“Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities,” Hundeyin noted on X.
Naira Marley is expected to assist the police in their investigation into the demise of MohBad.
Justice For Mohbad
Naira Marley had earlier vowed to clear his name.
In fact, he had, before the police statement, confirmed his arrival in Nigeria to help the probe into his former signee’s demise.
“I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria, to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole.
I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail,” the singer said earlier.
