The death of Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad may have happened months ago, but up until this very moment, it is trailed by interesting actions as Nigerians continue their quest to unravel the mystery surrounding Mohbad’s death.
Now, the name Mohbad, has again made headlines after his wife, Omowunmi in a recent social media outburst, revealed that she had information about his death but was being prevented from speaking by bullies.
Mohbad, a former Marlian signee, passed on in September 2023.
Omowunmi’s silence over the incident had raised accusing fingers towards her direction.
The Bullies
Now, in a lengthy post she shared via her Instagram page, Wunmi said she was silenced by bullies in the music industry over the singer’s death.
The mother of one disclosed she felt helpless, adding that the bullies have been targeting her by releasing a voice note she recorded some years back.
An extract from her post read: “They silenced my husband by spreading rumours that he was on drugs.
Now they’ve been targeting me by releasing a voice note I recorded a few years ago for medical purposes.
“They’re attacking our only child by labelling him as illegitimate. My husband was messed up mentally.”
“If he had continued speaking about his challenges, perhaps he would still be alive today”.

As a matter of fact, unraveling the mystery behind his death has been in the minds of many.
Omowunmi’s post became a confirmation which many needed.
At least, now it is clear that Mohbad was actually killed.
