While Ondo State is still mourning the death of former Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, Jimoh gave a consoling message to the bereaved.

Breaking: Ondo Gov Rotimi Akeredolu Is Dead

Jimoh Ibrahim, the senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District, has asked the family of the late Oluwarotimi Akeredolu not to mourn, as he was sure the former Ondo State Governor would make heaven.

He spoke on Friday, December 29, during a condolence visit to Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, wife of the deceased, at their Ibadan residence.

Jimoh’s optimism was based on late Akeredolu’s works while alive.

He stated that death was only painful “if one is not sure if their relative is going to heaven”.

The senator said: “It is normal for us to cry when we lose our loved ones, but Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s death is not painful.

“Death is only painful when you are not sure of heaven. So, Aketi’s death is not painful because he’ll surely go to heaven.

“Let us console ourselves with his dealings and relationships with people, both high and low, in the country.

“As the governor of Ondo State, his programmes were people-oriented and related to everyone.
