There is a looming blackout that the IBEDC is pleading with you to help it avert.
“Dear esteemed customer, we regret to inform you of the plans by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to disconnect IBEDC from the national grid over poor remittances.”
The TCN had previously threatened to disconnect some power distribution companies from the national grid for failing to pay their debts.
Unfortunately, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) appears to have owed TCN for some time and has refused to pay, claiming that its customers were not responding.
However, the distribution company (DISCO) has appealed to its customers on Wednesday, begging them to pay their debts and help prevent a blackout.
Customers in Oyo, Ogun, Osun, and other states were urged by the DISCO to pay their bills to avoid being disconnected from the national grid.
“Paying your bills immediately is the only solution to this pending blackout.
“Pay 100% of your current and outstanding electricity bills now to prevent IBEDC from being disconnected,” IBEDC pleaded
