Have you tried to imagine how poor widows in Nigeria manage to survive, especially after the removal of fuel subsidy?
Sadly, most of them live each day doing odd jobs just to fend for their families. Most times they have no one to depend on for help.
However, there was a great uproar when a number of widows were presented with brand new grinding machines in a church.
For many, it may be a rare experience, as it is not what they see happen every day.
This happened during the Thanksgiving service of the Dominion City 2023 women convention on Sunday, August 27.
The grinding machines were presented on behalf of the whole church to the widows by the Dominion City Lagos women’s leader, Pastor Mrs. Ify Onaga.
Pastor Ify revealed that the funds used to achieve this feat came from the seed and sacrifices made by members during the last convention.
She also urged the congregation to replicate the act of helping others in any way possible.
“What we are showing is also an example; do it for others.
“Wherever you are, be a blessing to others. God bless you.”

Mixed reactions have greeted the gesture, as some supported the grinding machine gift while others felt a cash gift would have been better.
